Things I make to change my reality
The process of making something is fundamentally about change. When we make something, we change our realities; our present and our future. My own practice of making started nearly 20 years ago with functional objects intended to make more comfortable and usable spaces and experiences for myself, my friends and family. The objects I make range from curtain rod holders to furniture to custom signs, cabinetry, and architectural details. I primarily work with steel and wood, but occasionally make work with aluminum. While collaboration on big projects is integral to my life’s work, I am a textbook introvert and love/need time alone to experiment with materials and processes.
